There are two SilverSingles apps and one website, and all three open the same account: the iPhone app SilverSingles®: 50+ Dating in the App Store, the Android app com.silversingles.dating on Google Play, published 19 May 2026, and www.silversingles.com in any browser. If what you have read elsewhere mentions a personality test at sign-up, several paid levels, or a different company running the service, that is the old service. The current sign-up has no personality test, the only paid tier is Silver Select, and since May 2026 the service has been run by SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc.. We registered on the website on 17 September 2026 and went through all five of its screens. We have not used either app, so wherever this page gets to the app’s own sign-up, it says “to confirm”.
Which app is which
On an iPhone the app is called SilverSingles®: 50+ Dating. On an Android phone, search Google Play for SilverSingles and check that the listing is com.silversingles.dating, published on 19 May 2026. That date is how you tell it from the old one. These two links are the store pages, not sign-up links: the App Store page, which opens the UK App Store, and the Google Play page. As for the old apps, the App Store and Google Play listings from before May 2026 no longer exist (both return "not found"). We checked on 18 September 2026, so an app installed from one of those old listings is not the app these pages are about.
The member site’s own links to the apps take a slightly odd route. Checked 18 September 2026: the member site's own iPhone link opens the US App Store page, and its Android link goes through an install-tracking redirect to Google Play. The US page is the same app, so nothing has gone wrong if you land there, and the redirect is how the site counts its installs. If you would rather skip both, open the App Store or Google Play on your phone and search for SilverSingles by name.
On 18 September 2026 the App Store listed the iPhone app as version 1.8.4. It needs iOS 14.0 or later, is 158.1 MB to download, is rated 18+, and the provider is named as Heartnet LLC. How that company relates to SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc., which runs the website, is to confirm. Google Play listed the Android app as updated on 10 September 2026, with 10,000+ downloads and a PEGI 18 rating. On price, both store pages say the app has in-app purchases and neither lists a figure. We do not print prices on this site either.
Our suggestion: register on the website, then install the app
The website is where we registered ourselves, so that is the order we can vouch for: account first, in a browser, then the app. The sign-up there runs over five screens. The first two ask who you are looking for, with an age range and a tick box for the terms, then your age, ethnicity and height. The third asks for a username, an email address and a password, the fourth has two boxes about you and the person you hope to meet, and the fifth asks for photos. Nothing on those screens asks for a card. Each screen is shown with its labels on how SilverSingles works.
- Register on the website. Open the sign-up in whichever browser you use, on a computer or on your phone, and go through the five screens. The first screen also offers Sign up with Apple and Sign up with Google. We used the Google button on 17 September 2026: choosing Sign up with Google binds the Google account but still returns you to step 1 to finish the five steps. It saves you a password and little else.
- Have a photo of your face ready for the first log-in. We met this on 17 September 2026: on first log-in the site opens Verify Your Account ("Takes only 3-8 seconds", "No additional documents required") and asks for "a clear photo of your face", and until that photo is uploaded every member page (home, Flame, settings, payment) redirects back to the log-in screen. Keep a plain, recent photo of your face on the device you sign in with, or you will be stuck on that screen.
- Then install the app and sign in. Use the email address and password you gave on the third screen. If you registered through Apple or Google, look for that button on the app's sign-in screen instead. The website's sign-in page offers Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google and Sign in with Mobile Number. Which of those the app's sign-in screen offers is to confirm.

Asks for a clear photo of your face
We have not been through the sign-up inside either app, so what it asks is to confirm. It may ask the same questions in the same order, but this site does not describe screens we have not seen. Nothing we know says you cannot start in the app. We suggest the website because we can describe it screen by screen.
What is different in the app
The screens on this site are the website’s, and the one thing the store pages settle about the apps is who bills you. Every menu path on these help pages comes from the website, and whether each setting sits in the same place inside the app is to confirm. Payment is different, because the listings spell it out: both store pages say the app has in-app purchases and neither lists a figure. An in-app purchase is one the store handles, so a subscription bought inside the iPhone app is billed by Apple, and one bought inside the Android app by Google. On the website the site itself takes the payment, on a screen headed CHOOSE MEMBERSHIP PLAN, and that screen says Success*SSG is the name that will appear on your card statement. We have not bought anything inside either app, so what its payment screen looks like is to confirm.
Where you cancel follows from where you paid. A subscription held by Apple or Google is cancelled with them, on the phone, and one bought on the website is switched off under Me, Settings, Payment, Payment Details, Renewal Status. The steps for all three, with Apple’s and Google’s own wording, are on how to cancel auto-renewal. Your bank statement follows the same split: a website purchase appears as Success*SSG, and a purchase through a store appears as an Apple or Google charge. If you cannot remember where you paid, the statement will tell you.
The website’s plan screen was priced in US dollars when a new free account reached it on 17 September 2026, and whether a UK card is charged in pounds by either route is to confirm. Look at the figure on the screen you are buying on, and be clear which of the two companies is billing you. Where the website shows its figure, and what to check before you press CONTINUE, is on what Silver Select costs.
If the app says your account does not exist
Check that the app on your phone is the current one. The Android app changed with the service, so an Android app installed before 19 May 2026 is the old one. Delete it and install the Google Play listing above. On an iPhone, check that the name under the icon is SilverSingles®: 50+ Dating, and install that one if it is not. If a fresh install still says the account does not exist, the account is the problem rather than the app, most likely because it dates from before May 2026. The long version, with what we know about old accounts and how to reset a password, is on the login page for UK members.
Phone browser instead of the app
You do not need the app. www.silversingles.com works in Safari or Chrome on a phone, with the same account. Everything on this site’s help pages was checked on the web version, starting with our walkthrough on 15 September 2026, so the screens and menu paths on those pages match the browser, not the app. If you want to follow one of them step by step, do it in the browser. Whatever you buy on the website, on a phone or a computer, is billed by the site rather than by a store, so the points above about cancelling and statements apply to it.
The menu paths on those pages start at the Me button. On a computer it sits at the bottom of the left-hand column, and where a phone browser puts it is to confirm.
