These are the terms on which you may use SilverSingles UK. They are short because the site does very little. It publishes information about SilverSingles and links you to SilverSingles when you want to join. By using the site you agree to what follows.

What this site is and is not

SilverSingles UK is not the official SilverSingles website and is not operated by SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc., the company that runs SilverSingles. The people who run this site have a working relationship with that company, and the site is paid a commission when someone joins through its links. The about page and the affiliate disclosure set this out.

You cannot create an account, log in, pay, or manage a subscription on this site. All of that happens on SilverSingles, under their service agreement, which you will be asked to accept when you sign up. Their agreement, not this page, governs your membership.

Information, not advice

Everything on this site is general information. It is written with care and checked in the way described on How we check facts, but it is not legal or financial advice, and it is no substitute for reading what SilverSingles tells you at the point of purchase. Prices, features and menus on SilverSingles can change at any time without notice to us. If a price here differs from the one at checkout, the checkout is right.

Before you pay for anything, check the figure on the SilverSingles payment screen, check whether auto-renewal is switched on, and note the refund window in their service agreement. We do not print prices on this site, so the figure on the payment screen is the only one to go by.

No promise about who you will meet

Nothing on this site promises that you will meet anyone, or that anyone you meet will be who they say they are, or that SilverSingles will suit you. A dating service is a way of meeting people, not a guarantee of a result. SilverSingles states that it does not conduct background checks on members, and neither do we. The safety page sets out the precautions we think are worth taking. Following them is your responsibility, and so is any decision to meet someone.

Trade marks

SilverSingles is a trade mark of its owner. The name and the SilverSingles logo appear on this site only to refer to the service that SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc. runs. Their use does not mean that the company endorses this site or has approved anything on it. All other names mentioned belong to their owners.

The text of this site belongs to the people who run it. You may quote short passages with a link back. You may not copy whole pages or present the material as your own.

Links to other sites

Links to SilverSingles and to other websites are provided because we think they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or for how they handle your information. Links to SilverSingles carry a tracking code, as explained in the affiliate disclosure. They do not carry any personal information about you.

Limit of liability

We do our best to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise either at any given moment. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the site, from a mistake on it, or from it being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales.

Changes

We may change these terms by publishing a new version on this page. The date at the bottom shows when that last happened. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you keep any rights your local law gives you.
